About

An engineering and
research firm.

BEARSolve, LLC is a privately held engineering and research firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida. We were founded in April 2026 by Robert McGalliard, an estimator and engineer who had spent two decades watching the same operational problems go unsolved across construction, accounting, and financial workflows — and decided to build the systems that should have existed.

BEARSolve — short for Black Engineering And Research, Solve — is structured around a simple premise. Most of the operational software businesses depend on is held together with integrations, spreadsheets, and apologies. We think the work deserves better, and we have the engineering capacity to build it.

What we do

We design and build operational systems. Today that means financial software — KeepIQ for businesses, PennixIQ for individuals, and SuiteAimey as the platform underneath them. Tomorrow it may mean hardware, instrumentation, or work in domains we haven't named yet. The criterion is consistent: we work on problems that don't have good solutions, where we believe a serious engineering effort can produce one.

We do not chase markets. We do not build features because competitors have them. We do not assemble products from third-party services that we then have to apologize for when they break. The work compounds when the foundation is sound, and we invest in the foundation accordingly.

How we work

BEARSolve operates as a small, deliberate organization. Every line of code we ship is read by a human before it merges. Every monetary value moves as an exact decimal. Every state change writes an audit record before it commits. These are not aspirations — they are enforced in the architecture, verified in continuous integration, and treated as non-negotiable.

We extend the same discipline to how we run the company. We are bootstrapped. We do not have outside investors. We are not in a hurry to be larger than we should be. We answer to our customers and to our own standards, in that order.

We solve problems that have value. We make a little money. We try to do both honestly. That's the company.

Why financial software, first

Robert spent twenty years in construction estimating and cost segregation, working alongside accountants, controllers, and CFOs at organizations of every size. The pattern was consistent: the books were a fiction maintained at great cost by people who knew they were a fiction, the integrations between systems leaked information, and the audits that were supposed to verify everything were performed against the spreadsheet, not the source data.

The first BEARSolve product, KeepIQ, was built to address that pattern directly. Double-entry bookkeeping enforced at the database level. Tenant isolation at the row level. An immutable audit chain that records every state change before the change commits. Twenty industry packs that adapt the system to the domain rather than asking the customer to adapt to the software. PennixIQ extends the same engine to personal finance.

What comes after

We are deliberate about what we say comes next, because we have not shipped it yet. The discipline of BEARSolve applies to any operational problem where engineering rigor and careful research can produce a solution that wasn't there before. Software, hardware, instrumentation, control systems — none of these are off the table. We will say more about each as we have something real to show.

The name

BEAR is an acronym: Black Engineering And Research. Solve is what we do with what we engineer and research. The integral symbol that sits between the two halves of the name is the mathematical operator for continuous accumulation — gathering inputs over a domain to produce a result. It is the operation BEARSolve performs as a company. The three-dot mark that appears at the close of our pages is the symbol used in mathematical proofs to introduce a conclusion. Therefore.
